The gift of the Holy Spirit is foretold in all four Gospels. That John would baptize with water, but Jesus would baptize us with the Holy Spirit and fire. This actually happened on the day of Pentecost. The Holy Spirit fell upon those gathered in the upper room and those who were touch were never the same. In fact, it was the Holy Spirit indwelling believers that enabled them to do as Jesus had done.
