For many years we at ACTS 29 have offered Clergy and Lay Leadership Training to equip parish leadership with the necessary skills to bring new life and vitality to the local congregation. The training we offer is not theory but instead proved methods of developing the congregation numerically, spiritually and financially. These skills we teach are set up in four categories and are all connected with the Great Commission. The four include, Evangelism, Discipleship, Healing the Sick and Dealing with the Demonic. Not only do we believe this training is vital for the success of the church today, but it is also precisely what Jesus told His disciples to do as they set forth on their journey.
In order to effectively teach and train clergy, we have created three Leadership Training Manuals. The table of contents to each manual is available for your review and can be accessed by clicking the side bar. This course is normally offered over a five day period at Nashotah House Seminary and can be used for continuing education. The training is a great course for seminary students as well as active clergy.
A second version of the training, which was especially tailored for Nashotah House and their STM program, is also offered. There are two training manuals available for this course and their table of contents is also available for your review.
In addition to Nashotah House, this course has been offered twice for Anglican Clergy Canada and much of the training material has been used in the Pilot Program, Yes, These Bones Can Live, currently being conducted in the Diocese of Springfield, IL. For more information about “bones” you can log on to our website at www.a29.com/bones. There you will find a complete overview of this initiative. It is significant to note that this initiative trains clergy and laity together at the same time.
At this moment additional leadership training opportunities are being scheduled and the dates will be announced as soon as possible on our website. This information will be found under “calendar” and/or “training schedule.” We hope you will take advantage of this training being offered as we feel it is of great importance for the continued growth of your congregation. We hope to see you soon at Nashotah House or one of our other locations.
God Bless You,
