February 2007
My Dear Friends, The prayers of the faithful continue to sustain this ministry, and I want to begin by saying thank you for your intercessions. As we move into 2007, the need for prayer is even greater. The tensions within our Anglican traditions are escalating, and all of us will be impacted at some level. Answers to Prayer In January, we had a tremendous outpouring of the Holy Spirit at YouthQuake. Over 1,000 youth and leaders were in attendance from 14 states representing 55 youth groups. We had groups from Louisiana, Wisconsin, South Florida, Maryland and all points in between. Also, we had a large number of new churches that attended. Hundreds of students gave their lives to Christ, and many more received prayer for personal healing and renewal. In December, I asked you to pray about the finances for the ministry. Historically, we have many who make a year-end gift. We were very short in November and needed a big month to catch up. Again, your prayers and God’s faithful came through. We didn’t quite get all we hoped for, but much of the shortfall was made up. I also asked you to pray for my continued good health and a full calendar. By the grace of God, I have avoided any major illness, flu or infirmity, and our calendar of events remains full through May of this year. Lastly, you need to know that our first follow-up to the Yes, These Bones Can Live pilot program in the Diocese of Springfield, IL, went very well. Fr. Mike Flynn and I led a three-day retreat for the clergy and got the initial feedback as to what is really going on. We began the “application phase” in September and found that it’s tough going. Bringing about this type of systemic change is an enormous task. They have found resistance, anger, confusion and apathy as well as some very significant breakthroughs.
Prayer Requests Building Sale. Continue to pray that our building sells, and we can relocate. Also, we need someone to take up our lease and rent the space we currently occupy. Favor with Trust Fund. Last month, I asked you to pray for us to have favor with as we submitted a request to a family trust fund. The family met in late December and is in the process of reorganizing. We are still on the list so please continue to pray! Wisdom and Discernment. I am asking the Lord for his guidance as we enter a season of stress and realignment in Anglicanism here in North America. This ministry is committed to the “faith once delivered to the saints,” and we are working hard to remain faithful with those in the Episcopal Church as well as minister to those who are now connected to the Anglican Communion through other jurisdictions. Pray for me to have wisdom. Full Calendar. I have over 22 events that are pending final approval. Please pray for the Lord to open the right doors and only the ones He wants me to walk through. There are many opportunities, and I need to be a good steward of my time. Pray for a full calendar and the right events for the right people in 2007. New Board Members. A number of my board members are retiring. They have served faithfully and will be missed. Pray that the Lord will rise up new board members with a passion for this ministry. Financial Needs. I believe the Lord likes it when we are specific so here goes. In the past, we have had many churches support us through their outreach budgets. Pray for God to give us 15 new churches in 2007 that will do this. Pledges: Ask the Lord for 120 people to make an annual pledge of $10 a month (or more) to support us in 2007. Major Donors: Pray that the Lord would provide 10 new major donors ($5,000 or more) in the coming year. Calendar of Events 2007

Yes, These Bones Can Live Follow-Up. As I mentioned above, we are now in the application phase, and I want you to pray for the clergy in this program:
The Rev. Phil Lewis The Rev. Dick Swan
The Rev. Brandt Hazlett The Rev. Ann Alley
The Rev. Gene Stormer The Rev. Gene Tucker
The Rev. Tim Goodman The Rev. Tony Holder
The Rev. Desmond Francis The Rev. Shawn Denny
The Rev. Ann Tofani The Rt. Rev. Peter Beckwith
They are on the front lines of a spiritual battle, and we need your intercessions daily.
Conclusion: I have learned a great deal about intercession this past year and want you to know intercession is powerful in the spirit realm. It is an untapped power in most of our churches, and I want to encourage you to persevere and endure. The difference is huge, and I believe God will continue to raise up hundreds more to pray for ACTS 29 Ministries. Right now, we are at about 100 intercessors! Also, please e-mail me if you have any impressions, thoughts, insights or scriptures that are related to your intercessions: Hansen@a29.com. God’s peace,
Alan W. Hansen
