Opening Doors is a two-part conference that encourages, trains and equips laity and clergy to use their God given gifts and talents to bring people into their church. The first part of the conference looks at the characteristics of growing churches; the seven expectations for church membership; what kind of Christian God wants your church to develop; some of the basic obstacles to growth and the role of vision. These preliminaries are helpful in defining what new people will experience in your church.

The second part of the conference is an overview of fourteen different ways God can use YOU to bring people in to your church. These fourteen ways are not necessarily new, in fact, most of them you will recognize in one form or another. Furthermore, you are probably already doing several of them. The purpose is for your people to see themselves participating in one or two of these ways and being affirmed in the fact that God can and wants to use them! We don’t have to be “Billy Graham” to bring people to Jesus. There are lots of different ways God has of reaching people for His Kingdom. By the conclusion of the conference you will have practical and proven methods for numerical growth.

Overall, the heart of the Gospel is contained in the Great Commission from Matthew 28. Jesus mandated that His disciples go into all the world and make disciples. The amazing thing is that Jesus has intentionally limited Himself to using US. Jesus has given this ministry to the church in and through His people. If we don’t do this it will not get done. Opening Doors is designed to offer practical ways to teach you how “all of us” can participate in fulfilling the Great Commission

It was a time of renewal, a “jumpstart” to my spiritual battery. I have a deepened awareness of how God is working out his purpose in the lives of believers. Come and see! - Opening Doors
