ACTS 29 has developed a weekend specifically for men. We use a unique format of short talks, movie clips and break-out groups to engage men in looking at seven areas of their lives: Ministry, Mission, Manhood, Money, Morality, Midlife and Marriage.

This may sound like a lot to cover in a short period of time; however, the format is designed for men to spend time in reflection on where they are with other men. The weekend is not intended to exhaustively examine each subject, but rather to let them answer some specific questions (in the workbook) and do so with other men. We have found this very engaging and the learning takes place through the small group more that through the lecture format.

There is also time for meals, fellowship, prayer, and worship during the weekend. Ideally it is best when conducted off-sight, however, the commuter model has worked successfully (men come on Friday night, sleep at home and return Saturday morning through about 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon.). We have also offered this as a regional event, gathering five or six church together.
